| Meet
the needs of today's logging operations by adding
this set of structures to the Mountain Lumber Co.
Saw Mill (933-3058, sold separately). The kit
includes four complete buildings, typical of the
equipment installed at contemporary mills. The Log
Debarker is the first stop for logs heading into the
mill. Inside, the bark is ground away, producing
more useful timber with less waste material. A quick
pass through the Wood Chipper reduces scrap lumber
and bark into woodchips. The lightweight chips are
blown through pipes to the chip loaders for shipment
to paper mills and other users. The kit includes a
Rail Car Loader with its special equipment for
loading Woodchip Hoppers, available separately. The
Truck Woodchip Loader (perfect for use with the
Woodchip Truck #933-4013, sold separately) comes
complete with gravity-feed storage bin and blower

Inside
this busy operation, rough-cut timbers are run
through planners and emerge as standard sized
lumber. Found alongside saw mills like the Mountain
Lumber Co. (933-3058) and industries like Hardwood
Furniture (933-3044), both sold separately, Planning
Mills are also operated as independent companies.
The finished model makes a neat addition to any
setting and fits in virtually any modeling era. The
kit includes the two-story Main Building with board
and batten siding, a modern Sawdust Collector with
blower and storage bin, plus an outdoor Drying &
Storage Shed where the finished products are allowed
to air dry before being loaded for shipment by rail
or truck. Finished building measures: Main Building:
