Among the most critical components when re-powering your locomotives are
quality flywheels. As a general rule of thumb, use the largest
flywheel's) that you can fit into your re-powering project. A-LINE
flywheels are custom precision machined to our specifications from
quality brass stock. Concentricity is held to within one-thousandth of
an inch (.001") for smooth, quiet operation. A-LINE flywheels are
drilled and reamed to allow a slip fit onto motor shafts for easier
positioning during installation or removal. Slip fit flywheels set with
A-LINE flywheel cement are superior to their press fit counter-parts
because there is no chance of damaging the motor during mounting. Each
flywheel includes Athearn coupling and mounting instructions. Each
package contains 2 flywheels.
