 The Rix Rax Flat is designed to mount flat against the bottom of the layout, giving you more room under the layout. The Fulcrum adjustment gives you control over how much pressure you put on the switch points. The Rix Rax Flat will work on most any gauge turnout and with NJ International, Kemtrom, KTM, Hallmark and the Rix Twin Coil Switch Machines.
 
 

The photo above shows a different approach to mounting the Rix Rax Flat. Instead of mounting it under the layout with the wire running up to the turnout, we mounted it on top next to the turnout. (in a staging yard) We ran the piano wire from the turnout to the top hole in the pivot arm. The fulcrum can still be used to adjust the throw.
