The Rix Water and Oil Tank is designed to
represent riveted steel tanks which the
railroads started building back in 1880 during
the steam era. Today tanks similar to these are
being used to hold oil and chemicals. The Rix
Water and Oil Tank is made up of 6 band segments
which form a complete band. The bands are then
stacked one on top of another until they reach
the given height. Kits include enough band
segment to produce either a 29, 43 or 60 foot
tall by 24 foot diameter tank. Two styles of
tops are offered, flat top or a peaked top. All
tanks are molded in a black polystyrene.
