Creating busy highway scenes is easy with these model on the job. From all popular eras, the kits build into detailed replicas of some of America's favorite cars and trucks. The easy-to-build kits feature resin bodies with a high-level of molded-on detail. A basic cab interior is provided and all windows are open, so you can see inside. Add your personal touch with paint, window "glass" or some of the many accessories listed in the Parts section.
 
Logging trucks are great additions to any modern logging scene set between the mid-1960s and the present. This Walthers vehicle is based on a common North American Model R design and features a hollow cab, cab interior, window openings and decals. The logging truck can be built so that the wheels roll. When the truck running empty, the rear bogie can be loaded on top of the tractors log bunk making the truck easier to maneuver. Use this vehicle deep in the forest at the logging site, at the log reload where logs are transferred to railcars, or at the Mountain Lumber Co. Sawmill complex.

Whether set in the days when Shays and Heisler ruled the forests, or served by contemporary diesels and trucks, the Mountain Lumber Company can be the centerpiece of any logging operation. Everything you'll need to start work is included, from the Log Conveyor to the Burner. The Mill Building is enclosed with board and batten siding and covered with a corrugated metal roof. This style is typical of permanent operations or those that ran in areas where the weather could turn cold. At the back is a canopied area, where fresh-cut boards are sorted. To keep the machinery running, there's a nicely detailed Powerhouse with twin smokestacks. And for the final touch, you get a Sawdust Burner, used to dispose of scrap lumber and sawdust from the cutting operations. Typical of buildings constructed from the 1920s to the 1940s and still in use today, your finished model fits easily into steam- or diesel-era layouts. For more operating fun, this kit can be expanded with the Planning Mill (933-3059) or modernized with the Saw Mill Outbuildings (933-3144) both sold separately. The kit includes four complete buildings, typical of the equipment installed at contemporary mills. The Log Debarked is the first stop for logs heading into the mill. Inside, the bark is ground away, producing more useful timber with less waste material. A quick pass through the Wood Chipper reduces scrap lumber and bark into woodchips. The lightweight chips are blown through pipes to the chip loaders for shipment to paper mills and other users. The kit includes a Rail Car Loader with its special equipment for loading Woodchip Hoppers, available separately. The Truck Woodchip Loader (perfect for use with the Woodchip Truck #933-4013, sold separately) comes complete with gravity-feed storage bin and blower details.
